Jima Caller ID: The Solution to Hong Kong's Spam Call Problem

Jima Caller ID is a free Android app by TechmaxApp, designed for Hong Kong users to cope with the spam calls problem. With too many spam calls, some even being scams, this app offers a solution to users. The app offers a variety of features that help users block or identify incoming junk calls.

The institutional white-list feature allows users to identify calls from institutes such as hospitals and schools. The scamming area code feature prompts users for scamming prefixes, and the app also allows users to query spam call databases, with over 10K records collected daily. Users can also contribute to the fight against spam calls by reporting them.

Jima Caller ID also allows users to customize actions for different categories of spam calls, such as setting them to "Block" or "Identify." The app also has an auto-update feature that updates the database automatically in the background. Additionally, the app provides scam alerts from the Hong Kong Police Force. It's no wonder the app won the Best Smart Hong Kong (Public Sector Information Application) Certificate of Merit at the HKICT awards 2016.
